Our Story
Although we actually went to high school together and had numerous mutual friends growing up we never actually met or connected until January 2016 when Mark sent me a Facebook message to meet up for a drink. We met at Nixx on Edmonton trail, watched the NFL conference championship game between the Cardinals and the Panthers and bonded over our love for beer …
And well, the rest is history really.
Mark finally popped the question in December 2022 and we are excited for this next chapter in our lives! Thank you all for coming along for the ride, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Please RSVP by August 1st and only RSVP for the names indicated on the invite. Plus 1’s are not permitted unless explicitly indicated.
Accommodations
There is a block of hotel rooms set aside at the Ramada Wyndham High River.
If you wish to book a hotel room here, the block is under ‘Jessica & Mark Wedding’. There is also a campground near Nanton or additional hotels in High River & Okotoks.
Food & Drinks
Dinner will be buffet style provided by Live Edge Catering and includes Prime Rib & Creamy Chicken as the mains. If you have any dietary restrictions please indicate so when RSVP’ing. We will be offering an open bar throughout cocktail hour, the reception and into the party.
What to Wear
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside (weather dependant) and the reception will be held in an indoor/outdoor space so dress accordingly. The dress code is semi-formal.
Celebration
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will occur at the same venue. The cocktail hour will include yard games and appetizer style foods between the ceremony and reception.
Parking Area
There is ample public parking on site and cars can be left overnight if needed so everyone can enjoy themselves and get home safely without drinking and driving!

FAQ

What time should we arrive?
The ceremony is at 3:00pm, please plan to arrive no later than 2:50pm
Where is and what is the venue?
The venue is Coutts Western Heritage Centre. It is owned by the University of Lethbridge. It is located on a ¼ section of land half way between High River & Nanton, just off Highway 2.
What accommodations are nearby?
We have a block of hotel rooms reserved at the Ramada Wyndham High River (hotel block is under Jessica & Mark Wedding). There is also a campground near Nanton or additional hotels in High River & Okotoks.
Are there transportation options?
Yes there is!
Pre-Ceremony: There will be a single bus from the High River Ramada to the venue leaving at 230pm. This is a single bus with a limited # of seats on the bus so please plan accordingly. This is a perfect option for those staying at the hotel. The hotel will be working hard to allow for early check in so guests can check in, drop their stuff off and head to the venue.
Post Reception: There will be a shuttle running back and forth from the venue to the Ramada hotel every 45 minutes starting at 930pm for guests to utilize. Whether you are staying at the hotel or just want to catch the shuttle into town for better luck with an Uber or a Cab there will be numerous opportunities to get to High River from the venue.
If you do drive out to the venue but opt to take the shuttle transportation back into High River (PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE) your vehicles are safe to be parked on the property until you return to pick them up Sunday.
Can I bring a plus one/date?
Unless indicated on your invite or explicitly communicated by Jess/Mark, plus ones are not permitted.
Are children invited to the wedding?
Our wedding will be an 18+ event. We want you to be able to enjoy yourselves and let loose .. what a great opportunity for date night even!
Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?
Yes they are! The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception are all on site at the Coutt’s Heritage Centre. This is a gorgeous venue surrounded by trees, farmland and lots of flowers!
Is it a cash bar?
We will be doing an open bar but we do ask that you drink responsibly and not be wasteful with the beverages as we have worked hard to make and/or purchase all of the alcoholic beverages to ensure everyone has a great night.
Last call will be at midnight and we must all be off the property by 12:30am.
We will be providing beer/wine/coolers during cocktail hour ONLY and will only be offering mixed drinks once the reception begins.
What is the dress code?
The recommended attire is semi-formal but please dress comfortably … we want to party! And please dress accordingly as the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside (weather dependent).
Do you have a gift registry?
We do not. The best gift you can give us is that of your support and presence at our wedding! However, if you wish to honour us with a gift, a monetary gift along with your advice and well wishes would be welcome!
